October 3, 2011:  Statement from Wally Hart, President/CEO, Fulton County Regional Chamber of Commerce & Industry

“Today I announced my resignation as president of the Fulton County Regional Chamber of Commerce & Industry.  I am leaving the position that I have held for over eight years to pursue new opportunities.  After completing my time here at the Chamber I will be joining Lexington Center as a division director for Community and Business Development.

I am very proud of the organization that I have led and I am grateful to the dedicated and talented staff with whom I have worked.  Together with this staff and the board of directors we have built a powerful business organization that is focused on business success.   Many opportunities lie ahead for the Fulton County Chamber of Commerce & Industry and I look forward to lending my talents and experience where needed.

In recent years I have been offered several opportunities that would have taken me out of Fulton County.  I remain committed to this community and am pleased that my new position with Lexington Center will allow me to remain where I can continue to make this a stronger and better place in which to live and work.

The work of Lexington Center is profound.  I look forward to strengthening Lexington’s commitment to people with developmental disabilities and their families.”
