PAVLOS MAYAKIS "TEXTILE MIXED MEDIA" Wall Art, Hand Wovens and Artscarves

A native of Gloversville, Pavlos Mayakis holds a certificate in Weaving/Textiles from Mendocino (CA) College, a B.S. from Skidmore College, an M.F.A. from Goddard College, and is working towards a Ph.D. in Sustainability Education.  Mr. Mayakis’ works have been featured in solo exhibitions throughout the Northeast, and in group exhibitions in NY, VT, CA, NJ, MI, and TN.  He has been a Teaching Artist, Arts Workshop Faculty member, Artist-in-Residence, and Lecturer.  He is a member of the Sacandaga Valley Arts Network and is a Founding Board member of the Micropolis Gallery, located in the Mohawk Harvest Cooperative Market in downtown Gloversville.
