The Chamber Foundation:
The Fulton County Regional Chamber of Commerce and
Industry Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) corporation that is the
fundraising branch of the Fulton County Chamber of Commerce and
Industry, providing support to the Chamber as it works toward its
mission of being the leading voice of business in the region providing
advocacy, resources and solutions for its members. It operates
exclusively for charitable and educational purposes that include but are
not limited to:

Carrying on and aiding research and development
contributing to community development.

Identifying and finding solutions to economic and
housing problems.

Combating community deterioration.

Assisting in the financing of non-profit
charitable organizations engaged in like activities.

Assisting in the advancement and dissemination of
knowledge and understanding of economics, quality of life, matters
of public concern, finance, education and training, human relations,
problems of science and technology, economic planning and
development and other subjects related to the development of both
the quality and quantity of economic growth, employment
opportunities and housing needs within the Fulton County area.

To purchase, acquire, take by gift, grant,
devise, bequest or otherwise, real personal and mixed property of
every kind or description and to hold, use, mortgage, pledge, sell,
lease, assign, give, exchange, or otherwise dispose of the same at
any time for the purposes of the Foundation.
The Chamber’s Foundation participates in some of the
most important Chamber events: the annual Fulton County Open Scholarship
Golf Tournament, which raises money to fund five $1,000 scholarships for
Fulton County high school seniors which are awarded at the May Senior
Recognition Breakfast at FMCC, another Foundation event; the annual
Sports Award Banquet where the Chamber hosts the county’s best high
school athletes and championship teams; the “Bet on Fulton County
Raffle” which supports the county’s tourism program; First Night
Gloversville-Johnstown, a non-alcoholic community event with thousands
of community attendees; and the Fulton County Community Fireworks event
at the Fulton County airport.
